Air Fries & Unsychronized Swimming

I don’t mean to make it sound like the biggest perk of going to my parents’ is the food, but I would like to mention that this week, my dad made his famous ribs along with fries made in his new air fryer. And both were incredible. Also, there was a really good Asian slaw.

In other news, now that George can officially swim, Oma and I finally got to see both kids swim at once.

2024 Olympic hopefuls?

Ever feel a little scatterbrained, like you know you’re forgetting something? I’ve felt that way all summer. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not working and I’ve just turned off my brain, but I’ve been super disorganized (more than usual, Matty) and can’t seem to get my crap together. I’m not quite putting my keys in the freezer, but I’m getting there. For example, Wednesday I forgot to pack the kids’ bathing suits for Oma and Opa’s. Luckily, I’m an ardent follower of the “You’re okay!” parenting method, so we did not panic. We bought George some cute swim trunks at Savers for $3 and Hazy a sweet suit at Marshalls for $9.99. Then, we did a photo shoot at the pool.

This is what I get when I say, “give me your model pose!” I kind of wish more models did this.

It’s not that they don’t know how to do real model poses. (Check out the pout on G.)

My supermodel

Does anyone else feel like the summer is going by way too fast? Also, has anyone seen my keys?
